At the physio you may learn how to look after your lungs using Breath Stacking.
Breath stacking is important to keep your lungs healthy. It will help to:
Stretch your lungs open
Clear your lungs of mucus
Fight off illness
Do a strong cough
Speak loudly
Feel more awake and energetic
How to breath stack:
1. Take a slow breath in
2. Stop, don't breathe out
3. Take another breath on top
4. Stop, don't breathe out
5. Take a last big breath on top
6. Hold, for a count of....1, 2, 3
7. Relax the air out OR cough.
Try to do your Breath Stacking 3-4 times a day.
